We all need deadlines, without them nothing gets done. I had roughly two weeks to finish my part for the TWS vid: instead of breaking myself and pushing the limits of gnar, I pulled a muscle in my Quad and had to take a break. Unable to shred and losing my mind in Los Angeles, I flew home to Stillwater, MN to escape and get some physical therapy. Now that I'm back in LA I'm still in...

Two weeks in New York can be a wonderful thing.

With less than a month to finish your video part, however, it might not be the smartest place to hit. Then again, nobody ever said we were smart.

I believe Old Blue Eyes said it best "If I can make it there I'll make it anywhere... it's up to you New York.....New York."

I have little insight to give this month but i will say this: Things come in waves and when they're good, they're good. But, inevitably, things will turn. Let's just say I'm waiting for the...

I'm convinced that inanimate objects know what's going on. I first became aware of this when I noticed my camera became increasingly blurry the more I let him party with me (a full time job). At first, he was crystal-clear. Then, one night, he turned on me. Some objets are on my side and some are against me. I'm pretty sure my Canon digital SD630 isn't my friend anymore....

The Ned Kelly gang was a force to be reckoned with. Back when outlaws stood for something, The Kelly Gang robbed banks and stuck it to the man. In an epic final showdown, Ned emerged from their hideout in his custom-made suit of armor He didn't die then-- they just shot him in the legs and later, they hung him. But the most admirable thing a man can do is to not back down when all the...

So, what you're seeing here is a cluster of photos that never quite made their way onto 'the corner' this year. Whether you're blowing it or winning at life, photos don't lie. It seems a strange thing to capture a moment in time, a moment that would normally be disregarded. Maybe you would only remember parts of an evening but having the evidence of this moment...

Last week we had a little art show in the warehouse that I live in. Sage Vaughn, Dan Monick and Jason Dill went under the assumed names Gary Burbank, Chick Maria and The Naperville Creep. The show was a smashing success. Good times were had: we laughed, we cried and got a little crazy in the name of art. Then everyone when home....... and i...

The Make-a-Wish benefit at the Southside skatepark in Houston Texas is a wonderful event. Unfourtunately, I didn't take any photos of the event itself. In fact, I think I only took photos of the night life I encountered while in Houston and in Oklahoma. I should probably explain that most of the people in the photos and I went on a week trip to Oklahoma and then say...

Getting older has its advantages. Your hair starts to thin, getting out of bed in the morning becomes a tad more difficult, you start to understand where that six pack of Newcastle actually ends up, you listen to public radio and your friends back home start getting hitched. Long story Short: One week in MN: 32 degrees outside, new puppy, hot baths, my front porch, old pals, live...

So when you live downtown LA you have to constantly put up with film crews shooting movies reality shows and chase scenes, its just part of the deal. once and a while you get like a Wesley Snipes sighting or something but most of the time its just plain annoying. So last Thursday I heard that they were shooting My Name Is Earl 2 blocks from my house so naturaly I figured it was due time to barge...

Im sitting here 6 in the morning at my desk trying to think of how to explain the epicness of my last trip. The only way I ever get my ass out of bed this early is due to jet lag, Then after two or three days it wears off and I'm back to my regular sleeping regiment of 3:00 am to 10:30ish. The Jet lag was aquired on an 9 day trip over seas. The mission at hand was to attend a skatecamp in the...

Welp, I just returned from MN were the weather was epic, the home cooked meals were abundant and all of my friends I grew up with are noticabley a bit chubbyer than the last time I was home. Thats the way life goes, I guess when I was younger I always thought I could cheat getting older somehow. I thought that if i never stoped skateboarding and catching salamanders that I could pull it off........

Well here we are, another month has flown past and I'm still laging on writing this corner update. I cant really use the " I dont have a computer excuse anymore" seeing as I bit the bullet and purchaced my very own state of the art Mac Book Pro. It ended up costing around the same amount as I paid for my 93 toyota camry, which are both pretty wise investments in my opinon. So from...

Sunday, December 4th 2005

It's now going on almost a month here in our overcrowded apartment in Barcelona. Things were good up until last week when a buttload of skaters came to sleep over and never left, its turned into this kind of hostal/summer camp situation. On top of that the guys have taken the liberty of calling me Dad, which could only mean that out of 15 people, I appear to be the most...
