OAKTOPIA Music Fest in Denton, Texas!

OAKTOPIA Music Fest in Denton, Texas!

By Ron Rauto

Stereo was a headline sponsor for Oaktopia Music Fest in Denton, Texas. We stopped by Jason Lee's farm to rip around the pasture on vintage dirt bikes and join him for a 3-day music festival deep in the heart of Texas

The Norman Roscoe Pop-up Shop on the Denton square featured live Stereo shirt screenprinting and was stocked up with awesome goods from Stereo, Richer Poorer socks, Monster Children, Field Notes journals, shirts and more.

Denton is home to The University of North Texas (UNT) which is a top music school in the country and known for the jazz studies department. The Stereo "Listen to Coltrane" shirts were a hit and we'll have more music related tees in the future.

The 100+ year old "EVERS" hardware store was filled once again, but with soft goods. Richer Poorer Inc.

This was the 3rd Oaktopia Music Festival (OaktopiaFest.com) and was by far the largest turnout yet. Over 100 bands in 3 days (See the line-up).  Listen to Thundercat.
