Stereo Skateboards: A Visual Sound (1994) - Full video in HD on YouTube

"'93/'94 was probably my best period for skateboarding, where I felt the most confident and in control. such a fun, electric time. and so pivotal for me creatively - it was ultimately the co-directing of this stereo skateboards video - 'a visual sound' - that would open up the photography door for me. those early s.f. stereo days were huge for so many of us, and our team was amazing. and to have had guys like tobin yelland and gabe morford there to document it all was incredible. big thanks to chris pastras for your brain, and to deluxe sf and jeff klindt (RIP) for making it all possible. Tobin Yelland Photo Series

"Being photographed by Tobin, you knew it was going to be good, and different. His was always a positive and encouraging and creative energy. An artist from day 1." - Jason Lee"I've always loved shooting photos with Tobin Yelland. He'll quietly blend into a session, skate with you a bit to break the ice, offer you just the right amount of encouragement, and then capture the most magical photos/moments without you barely noticing. His shots are always timed perfectly, and they all have a raw quality to them that is uniquely Tobin." - Chris Pastras Jason's image graced the cover of Transworld Skateboarding in 1994, and the photo of Chris Pastras is a Union Square, S.F. night photo from 1996. Adventures In Stereo: Atlanta

Stereo Sound Agency Presents: Adventures in Stereo: Atlanta Stereo Skateboards co-founders and owners Jason Lee & Chris Pastras take a trip to Atlanta, Georgia for an Adventure in Stereo. "Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life..." For myself, that's been skateboarding and the culture that surrounds it. I often don't notice I haven't taken a day away from my computer or off my board in 2-3 weeks, sometimes more. For me, "working for the weekend" doesn't exist. This is it, this is me, and I love it. The MailChimp crew rules, and Atlanta has so much soul and history... I was in awe and inspired just rolling through the streets. Special thanks to Calvin...

Coffee Hour with Jason Lee & Chris Pastras

Jason and I were invited to visit MailChimp.com in Atlanta Georgia and join them for a "Coffee Hour" lecture and Q & A for about 100 employees and a few hundred more watching via live stream from their desks. When we first got asked to do this lecture, I was utterly intimidated... What would we talk about? What if we sucked? What if what we said had no meaning? There is always some level of fear in everything I do in front of a camera or an audience. But I think the key is to reign in that fear and turn it into a focused motivation. And in all the fearful chatter in my mind I arrived at a super...

Stereophonic Sound Vol 28: Classic Jason Lee, Pastras, Hoffart and Love.

For episode 28 we visit Chris Pastras’ local curb spot for some slappies, and then we go Diggin’ in the Crates to 2003 with some CLASSIC footage of co-captains Jason Lee and Pastras skating Steve Berra’s old skatepark (pre-Berrics). This was one of the early sessions when the boys were first bringing back the Stereo brand! Extra special thanks to Nate Van Dusen for capturing the moment. "Skating again in 2003, after being away from it for 8 years, was like being born again. I had no idea how much I missed it until I was back on a board. And then Chris and I started skating together again. It was an incredibly exciting time, and it only made sense to...

OAKTOPIA Music Fest in Denton, Texas! By Ron Rauto Stereo was a headline sponsor for Oaktopia Music Fest in Denton, Texas.
