Yoshi in "The Hidden Colony"

Yoshi Tanenbaum – Crooked Grind © Jon Mehring Patrik Wallner’s new film is titled The Hidden Colony and it’s every bit as awesome as you’d expect. By Niall Neeson The search for skateboarding thrills around this world of ours is never-ending. Patrik Wallner has quickly established himself as the leading light of the left-field skate exploration, be that through the Caucasus, Madagascar or Kazakhstan. When he proposed to link up with Yoshi Tanenbaum, Vladik Scholz, Thaynan Costa and Marius Syvanen to take on the manifold challenges of skating Hong Kong and Macau, luminary lensman Jonathan Mehring stepped up to handle photographic duties, and an unbeatable combination came to life. Would the packed streets of Hong Kong prove too much for...

Tommy Fynn PUSH: Season 2

The first step in putting together footage for a part is communicating with your filmer. You can’t ask your lensman to read your mind, so talk it out. Tommy Fynn has this down—keeping his filmer in the loop, continually planning and revising—as he throws tricks against the wall to see what sticks. Communication is key. When Tommy eventually gets that clip, his filmer is right there capturing every cheeky moment.  The Berrics X PUSH series documents the process of filming a video part. They followed eight skateboarders for eight months, capturing all of the struggles and the joy—and everything in between. Adventures In Stereo: Atlanta

Stereo Sound Agency Presents: Adventures in Stereo: Atlanta Stereo Skateboards co-founders and owners Jason Lee & Chris Pastras take a trip to Atlanta, Georgia for an Adventure in Stereo. "Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life..." For myself, that's been skateboarding and the culture that surrounds it. I often don't notice I haven't taken a day away from my computer or off my board in 2-3 weeks, sometimes more. For me, "working for the weekend" doesn't exist. This is it, this is me, and I love it. The MailChimp crew rules, and Atlanta has so much soul and history... I was in awe and inspired just rolling through the streets. Special thanks to Calvin...

Coffee Hour with Jason Lee & Chris Pastras

Jason and I were invited to visit MailChimp.com in Atlanta Georgia and join them for a "Coffee Hour" lecture and Q & A for about 100 employees and a few hundred more watching via live stream from their desks. When we first got asked to do this lecture, I was utterly intimidated... What would we talk about? What if we sucked? What if what we said had no meaning? There is always some level of fear in everything I do in front of a camera or an audience. But I think the key is to reign in that fear and turn it into a focused motivation. And in all the fearful chatter in my mind I arrived at a super...
